Mr.Kırcı graduated from the Faculty of Law, Ankara, in 2001 and was admitted to Ankara Bar in 2002. He has been actively practicing as an attorney at law (patent lawyer, trademark lawyer) in all intellectual property-related disputes since then.
Before establishing the KIRCI Law Office (KIRCI Avukatlık Bürosu), he was a partner of an Intellectual Property Law firm with a known academician in his field for 8.5 years and with whom he is still in communication.
N. Berkay KIRCI also acts as a registered and chartered trademark attorney and a patent attorney before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT).
He has a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in the Department of Science and Technology Policy Studies from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey.
He holds a certificate in Intellectual Property (General Course on Intellectual Property, 2002), a certificate of training in Domain Name Dispute Resolution (WIPO Advanced Workshop on Domain Name Dispute Resolution, 2009, Geneva, Switzerland) obtained from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Mr.Kırcı also participated in the WIPO Mediation and Arbitration Workshop held by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center in June 2022.
He holds Legal English for Jurist's certificate obtained from Ankara University, Faculty of Law, The Research Institute of Banking and Commercial Law, Ankara, Turkey.
His articles and papers were published in some of the prestigious journals in Turkey and the world. His book, Unfair Usage of Trademarks via the Internet, was published in Turkish and English. In conjunction with these studies, N. Berkay KIRCI has rewarded the ‘Thought Leader award’ for being one of the most-read articles among contributors from Turkey in the field of 'Intellectual Property for the Autumn 2022 period by Mondaq, which is one of the largest and most comprehensive independent online resources.
N. Berkay KIRCI was appointed by competent Intellectual Property Courts as an expert witness in many IP-related cases and concluded reports for over 10 years.
He further gives lectures, and conferences about Intellectual Property issues on occasion.
He is fluent in English and is eligible to respond to Clients verbally and in writing.
He is also the founder and partner of KIRCI Patent.
